My story
Born in Germany to a Turkish family, I grew up navigating two cultures. I studied my Masters at TU Munich, where in 2019 I got an offer from Tesla to work as an Embedded Software Engineer on vehicle and energy software.
In 2025, I moved to Singapore to lead the Robotics division at Menlo Research. We're building Asimov — a fully open-source humanoid robot. Asimov is a robot of no nation. This matters: by belonging to no country, we reject any military use and stay true to Asimov's Laws of Robotics.
Outside of work, football is everything. I'm a lifelong Besiktas Istanbul fan — I like to argue, watch, and play in all of my free time. And I'm counting the days until the 2026 World Cup, where I'll cheer on Turkiye for the first time in person.
* It's called football. If you call it soccer, I will assume you also think a robot is just a big Roomba, and I cannot take you seriously.
